Freddy & Frito

The BLG reader, Tanya read us a book called, Freddy & Frito.  It was about two animals, Freddy was a fox, and Frito was a mouse.  The first sentence was: "Some days they played at Freddy's,
Where it was big and full of space". Usually a mouse is a fox's dinner. But in this story,  they are best friends.  Sometimes when they play together the make a really big mess and after they don't clean up the mess.  Our favorite part is at the end when they make a big big BIG clubhouse.  It has so much, detail it had a, slide, swing, zipline, elevator, and last but not least, a pirate ship!

By the way,
Goodbye!

We have been busy!

Since returning from our Winter Break, everyone has been working SO hard!  We used a "newspaper format" to write about our holidays.  We worked through the writing process - planning, drafting, editing and finally completing our final copies, with great illustrations!  We celebrated the hard work with a special treat! We pretended it was Sunday morning and we settled comfortably (some of us in our P.Js), with our newspapers and refreshments and read about each others' great holiday adventures!  If you have time, drop by in the morning and enjoy our writing!   Here are a few ...

Ahhhh!  Nothing better than enjoying the "Sunday paper" with a muffin and "coffee" in our pyjamas!

Also, during the past week, we read this book...
In the book, a group of children in grades 3, 4 and 5 wrote about the "Best Part of " themselves and told us why they chose that part.  We thought it would be fun to do that too!  So here are a few samples of our work.  Drop by and see all of the children's work outside in the hallway.
